SIT WITH SILVIA

A WEEKLY VIRTUAL MEDITATION PROGRAM

Week 2 - 10 Jun

RELAXATION MEDITATION

Managing Stress From Workplace

Connect With Your Energy

We become stressed about our life and work situations when our perceptions are limited by our 5 sensories. It is hard to see new possibilities or new insights.

WHEN WE ARE ABLE TO IMAGINE and visualise ourselves beyond our physical limits, we can further empower ourselves with a new dimension of abilities, intelligence and creativities.

The evolution of mankind is powered by our constant effort and ability to re-imagine the future. By recognising this inner gift that we have within us, we can strive for excellence regardless of our circumstances.

FEEL YOUR ENERGY

In this week's session, we experimented with our own innate energy. I hope you have all felt the amazing forces in between your finger tips and palms?

For those who missed it, watch the video and experience it for yourself:

Easy Pose Sitting (Sukhasana)

Stretch both legs out, support with hands at the back and draw your legs inwards to sit cross-legged. Remember to leave some space between your pelvis and heels for more comfort

2.PNG

Double Breaths With Shoulders

Tense your shoulders as you breathe in and then relax your shoulders as you breathe out

12.PNG

Hiss Breathing With Chest-Opening

Breathe in through the nose and breathe out through the teeth, creating a hissing sound like a deflating balloon. Open your chest as you breathe in and close the chest as you hiss out your breath

7.PNG

Triple Burner Meridian

There are 12 major energy paths within us, triple burner is the path that creates stress when the "chi" is blocked. Using our fingers to trace this path allows the magnetic force in our finger tips to draw away any blockages

9.PNG

3 Cycles of Breaths

The 3 cycles of breaths are: Inhalation -> Retention -> Exhalation. When we retain or hold our breath within, we allow time for the life force to work on our inner wellbeing

11.PNG

Ladder Breathing (Viloma)

This is also called interrupted breathing. Instead of drawing one breath, we break it down into 3 times. For example, breathe in a bit, hold, breathe in some more, hold, and then breathe in all the way.

Meditation Music

Music always helps in creating the right ambience, here are few recommended music for you:

  1. Wind Chimes Feel the breeze as the wind chimes tinkles...

  2. Hang Drums Hang drums are also called steel drums and often used for Yoga and meditation experience. Enjoy the soothing energy created by this amazing instrument.
